I was involved in an accident and I was injured by a vehicle. When you have an accident and you escape relatively unhurt then you must consider yourself lucky. I had this sort of epiphanic moment and I realized how fragile and temporary life can be. Here and then gone in an instant. The impermanence of life is something that can some times be hard to swallow. I realised at that moment that self-reliance was necessary. I am in a foreign country, no family and just myself to rely on if friends are far away or others cannot help. I managed to help myself that night to get to the hospital and find a doctor so thankfully it wasn’t as bad as it could have been. The universe had my back last night and I’m glad.
